*2017 Update. As announced in Budget 2017 last October, the Treatment Benefit scheme is being extended to cover self-employed
PRSI contributors and their dependent spouses for one examination per year, for the first time.
Under the PRSI scheme, from the 1st Januuary 2010, the scheme will only cover one examination every 12 months.
This does not include any other diagnoses,
treatments or referrals. This one year calendar rule is rigidly enforced by the Department of Social Welfare and Family Affairs
to the exact dates.
- All PRSI details must be in order before treatment is started.
- All items of service must be paid for at the private rate as listed in the private treatment fee scale.
- The cost of fillings can vary according to size, type of filling and of the material used.
- We require that all fees are discharged at the end of each visit.
